A PRIVATE HERITAGE ESCAPE
The Willowdale Villa
A neo-colonial boutique villa nestled above Naukuchiatal - where heritage architecture meets the quiet majesty of the Himalayas.
An old soul nestled in the green
Willowdale is a boutique villa in Naukuchiatal cradled by 1.5 acres of hillside greenery. A sanctuary where neocolonial architecture meets the raw wilderness of the Kumaon hills. Every arch and every veranda has been thoughtfully drawn to frame the landscape rather than compete with it.
This is not a hotel. It is a private home in Naukuchiatal - lived in and loved. Opened generously to those who seek peace, privacy, and a deeper connection with the wilderness of Uttarakhand.
Stay slowly. Leave changed.

Naukuchiatal. The lake of nine corners.
At 1220 metres above the plains, Naukuchiatal is the quietest of the Kumaon lakes. Its waters fold into nine corners - each one catches the light differently as the day moves through the valley. It is said that whoever sees all nine at once will be granted moksha. Most who come here are content with the third or the fourth.
Willowdale sits a short walk above the lake on a private hillside. Around the villa stand oak and deodar and pine. The nearest town is a kilometre away. The nearest sound is often a woodpecker.

"The light here arrives with intention. It rests on the ridges before stepping into the rooms."
